凤庆1938红茶 Fengqing 1938 Black Tea

Background: Fengqing Red 1938 black tea was created by Feng Shaoqiu, a famous tea expert, in 1938 in Fengqing, Lincang, with the fresh leaves of large-leaf species of ancient trees as raw materials, creating a precedent for large-leaf species of black tea in Yunnan, known as “antiwar tea” and “patriotic tea”. It is known as “antiwar tea” and “patriotic tea”.

Intangible heritage: its production techniques are included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, continuing the traditional craftsmanship and historical heritage.

Core production area: Fresh leaves of large-leafed tea trees of arbor above 1800 meters above sea level are selected from ancient tea gardens of more than 100 years of age, with fat leaves, dense white hair, and rich in internal substances.

Picking standard: strictly limited to the first spring buds, picked in March-April every year, to ensure that the tea has high amino acid content and fresh aroma.

Traditional Technique: Following the non-heritage “Dian Hong Tea Production Technique”, including withering, kneading, fermentation, drying and other processes, handmade to ensure that the active enzymes of the tea leaves are retained, and the cords of the tea are tight and moist, and the golden hairs are notable.

Unique style: The tea soup is red and translucent like amber, the leaf bottom is uniformly moist and full, thick and resistant to brewing, with both strong and fresh characteristics.

Aroma: The tea is mainly flavored with orchid and honey, and some of the products are flavored with wild mushrooms, with rich layers.

Soup color: red and bright, with prominent golden rings, stable and long-lasting after brewing.

Taste: sweet and mellow in the mouth, with quick sweetness and strong tea flavor; after adding milk, the tea flavor is not reduced, showing brownish red or turmeric color.

High-end Gift Tea: The Dian Hong Special Grade Kung Fu Tea (Golden Bud Tea) launched in 1958 was designated as a national gift tea and was used exclusively for foreign affairs occasions.

Modern Achievements: In 2024, some of the high-end series (such as “Red Rhythm Heavenly Fragrance”) won the “China’s Good Black Tea” five-star product awards, both drinking and collection value.
